OIL AND THE PETRODOLLAR

IN RESPONSE TO: “Jeff Berwick – Cambridge House Live – June 2012“

Dear Jeff,

It would be great if you could elaborate on something mentioned in your video interview.

Since the US dollar is required by a 1970s OPEC/US agreement to be used for the majority of crude oil volume purchases, and this agreement essentially put into place a mandate for 150+ privately owned central banks worldwide to hold US dollars (some 60% of all central bank reserves) in order for governments to buy oil from the Middle East (really, Saudi Arabia) — how is this agreement going away anytime soon? This agreement ensures US dollar stability regardless of its dilution, in order to purchase worldwide infrastructure and commodities by central banking factions.

I realize the “media” has been reporting that Iran is challenging the petrodollar status. Iraq tried to do so. Same goes for Russia. But the oil volumes appear to be too low for these to have much impact, so my guess is that these news articles are propaganda designed to ultimately place blame on a US dollar collapse, when the central bankers are ready to pull the rug out on the American middle class.

Thanks for your question.  That is an interesting way of looking at what is going on… but in my opinion, it is a backward way of looking at it.  It would be like saying Joe brutally beats his wife everyday but since they agreed in a marriage contract years ago to stay together for eternity that nothing can or will change and Joe can and will beat his wife into eternity.  What I mean is, a contract is just a piece of paper.  And many of these contracts always fall along the wayside as economics kicks in, just look at Bretton Woods.  Not to mention, as well these are contracts signed by something that doesn't actually exist (government) makes it even less of a valid document.  (For more on why government doesn't exist see this video by Stefan Molyneux).  We often get fooled by the people with guns who purport to govern us into thinking any of these things are real but, in reality, they are not.

Now, that aside, even if you believe all of these entities are real and this agreement signed in the 1970s has validity, it still does not ensure that the US dollar will continue to be used for petroleum transactions.  In fact, the writing has never been clearer on the wall that it won't.  The criminals in the US Government have certainly been fighting that day off for as long as possible, however.  Saddam Hussein stated in 2000 that he would begin to accept euros in payment for oil (Slime Magazine: Saddam Turns His Back on Greenbacks). Less than 2.5 years later and Donald Rumsfeld was shock and aweing women and children in Iraq into radiated hamburger.  Moammar Gaddafi was pushing forward heavily on a single African currency made from gold – something that would have brought prosperity, finally, to Africa.  Soon after, Killary Clinton cackled as he was hunted down like a dog on video, sodomized with a pipe and brutally murdered.  And, earlier this year, Iran stated they would accept gold for oil, further spurring the war drums out of Washington.

Certainly, anything they are fighting this hard against must be very important to them.  And, it is.  The usage of the US dollar for oil is one of the last remaining reasons most countries even bother holding them.  And, the actions of the US Government to demand the compliance of others with force has made some believe that it is the might of the US military killing machine that will keep the US dollar forever alive.  But, that is highly, highly unlikely… and not to mention extremely depressing if you believe that the US military will force us at gunpoint to use their currency forever.  But, it's not going to happen.  The numbers just don't add up.  The reason the dollar hasn't already entered into hyperinflation is because of its use globally.  But you cannot force a planet of 7 billion people to use a dying currency by force.  And, as the dollar continues to collapse it will not be possible to even buy fuel for the world's largest user of oil (the US military) to power its aggression.

That's why The End Of The Monetary System As We Know It (TEOTMSAWKI) is such a positive thing for humanity.  It will almost certainly bring down the US Government (as we know it) and its military with it and give mankind a chance for peace and prosperity that hasn”t been possible since the invention of nation states and central banks.  The main problem is how we get from here to there.  It's going to be the biggest event in human history.  Are you preparing for it?

A PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

I have an awesome idea.  Let's throw all of the Obama boys in prison along with the scum bags and throw the no good f***ed up weasel politicians in prison. Throw the parents in prison that abuse their children.  Throw the goons in prison that operate Wall Street and throw the whole congress in prison along with ACORN and BP and Haliburton and the gangs and crooks and thieves and liars and cheaters.  Throw the Republicans in prison along with the Democrats and then us Americans can rebuild the whole system from the ground up from the very start and start with brand new people and fresh faces to rebuild our republic.  Just think, doing away with governments would save us millions of tax dollars and then governments cant bully us or push us around no more.  I'm for no more governments at all.  I'm a liberal and damn proud of it and we need someone that can be a real  United States president that can be a commander in chief period. Thanks.

While we have a feeling this reader was writing under the influence he brings up some points worth discussing.  First of all, notice almost everything he said is something “we” need to do.  If he had replaced “let's” and “we” with “I will” and “I” he'd have been stating something worthwhile.  Here's the thing… there is no “we” or “us”, there is just “you” and “me”.  Dropping the collective words from your vocabulary can help clarify your thinking progress.

What he is stating is actually just another form of statism where we, the collective, need to throw people he deems bad in cages.  Now, while he did an excellent job of fingering the true culprits for most of the problems in our world today it is still not morally correct to just go around and put people in cages.  And, neither is it necessary.  All that is necessary for all of the problems described above to go away is for you to ignore them.  If enough people ignored Obama and the politicians and if enough people stopped paying the extortion they demand then they would fade off into the night.  Obomber would have to go back to community organizing, whatever that is.  And, companies like Haliburton would be bankrupt as the teet to which they suckle runs dry.

And if you live amongst people who believe in violence and theft (what the government does) then you have two choices.  You can try to enlighten them… or you can leave.  Or you can try to do both, as we have.  The answer does not lie in prisons, new people in government or a new president.  The answers lie in you looking in the mirror and making change in your own life.

All of my life something has always felt “not quite right”.  People are always so eager to tell me what is best for me. Obey the law.  Work hard.  Pay your taxes.  And i hate it, so I started searching around the web when i stumbled onto your site and it was like i took the red pill.  The government is the machine that can never be controlled.  It harvests our energy through taxes, and we are so eager to give that energy up aren't we!  Now that I'm out of the matrix I can never go back, and I want to give out some red pills!  Jeff, I don't know how much it means to you that you woke up a dumb redneck from Georgia, but you made a difference in my life.  I have a group of five friends and their families who are with me, and we will see you soon in Acapulco!  We plan to build a little compound down there and live as free as we can for as long as we can, and if that fails, we will keep searching.
