Hi TDV,
I'm sure many people are in a similar situation as me. I have citizenship and passports in both Kanada and Finland (I currently live in Vancouver). Finland is obviously more socialist but also much less imperialist. Is it still worth getting a passport from a third, more free country or do you think I'm alright holding two commie travel documents?

Hi Jake,
You are much better off than most people who just hold one passport and have no options should Sauron's eye of the government that purports to own them fixes its gaze upon them.
The answer, as always, really depends on your own personal needs, wants and desires.
That said, in this topsy turvy world of today places like Finland and Canada look almost like free market bastions of capitalism compared to the US. Finland's top tax rate is 49% (nearly half of everything you earn goes to your master). I'm not familiar with any state or local taxes in Finland however. In Canada the top tax rate is 29%, but then there are the provincial taxes which, in a province like Ontario, has a top tax rate of 13%, combining for 42%.
By comparison, those unfortunate enough to live in Kalifornia, pay over 50% in total federal and state taxes (which is why top earners are fleeing this state to places like Florida).
So, the US is now more communist than Canada or Finland… who would have thought that a few decades ago!
That said, depending on how you earn your income you might possibly be able to get a foreign residency in a place like Paraguay (and citizenship should you desire). Paraguay didn't use to have income tax but now, after a coup led by the US/CIA now has a 10% tax rate. The good news is that it doesn't take much work to set-up your affairs so that even that 10% rate isn't applicable, reducing your income tax to 0%. 0%, by the way, is the only income tax rate at which you are not a slave. If taking 100% of someone's earnings by force is slavery then only at 0% is it not slavery. It's just different shades of slavery.
I would suggest you contact TDV Offshore for a quick consultation on what you could possibly do to reduce the amount of theft/extortion you are "legally" able to do.
As for passports, depending on what you want in life I would suggest that you are in a much better situation than most people who have no options. As The End Of The Monetary System As We Know It (TEOTMSAKI) continues on, though, you might find that the Canadian and Finnish mafia governments become more and more egregious. At that point you may want to start to look at options outside of Europe and the rest of the West. Latin America and most of Asia does not, in general, have the debt nor size of government to become a massive negative in your life and you may want to watch closely over the coming years and see how mobile you need to be. My wife and I both were born in the US, with her folks from Canada (Irish GFather) and mine from The Netherlands. Does it make any sense for us or our kids, if it is possible, to pursue citizenship from both?

As opposed to my last response above, when it comes to children I think any caring parent should ENSURE their children have at least two passports. Preferably one of them from a non-western country. But just ensuring they have two will give them options as they try to survive the coming world.
So, you should definitely work to get them dual citizenship. That is a must. In the past parents would save money for their children's education (college). That paradigm is over. All information is free. Instead, give them the ability to live a more worldwide lifestyle so they have options. With the world currently on the brink of WWIII it is not totally out of the realm of possibility that governments start instituting drafts again. And you do not want your child to be beholden to just one nefarious state.
