Capital Contols Deployed Worldwide by Major Banks. Is It Too Late To Prosper?

“First Chase limited cash withdrawals and money transfers on certain business accounts, then HSBC told its customers they had to prove why they were withdrawing cash. After that Lloyd's ATM's stopped working and China banned cash transfers and foreign currency conversions starting this week.
We've covered the global trend towards capital controls in western nations, and we are unsurprised to announce the trend is only getting worse for savers. As we've predicted in the past (and been right), this will only get worse.
Now the Central Bank of China has ordered its commercial banks to suspend cash transfers for three days and foreign currency conversions for nine days starting January 30. This during the Lunar New Year Holiday, a time usually busy for banks in China.”

Charlie Shrem Kidnapped: Which Bitcoin Entrepreneurs are Next?

"I had just spent the last few days in Miami attending the North American Bitcoin Conference and it was an amazing experience. The crowds were overflowing and nearly three times the size of what organizers expected and the amount of geniuses, entreprenurial wizards and cutting edge venture capitalists was incredibly exciting to see and to be a part of.
I spoke on how I believe that cryptocurrency related businesses will be the next multi-billion dollar companies. The atmosphere reminded me of the excitement about the internet around 1996… and we all know how lucrative that was for many who invested in internet related companies at that time.”

Myra or Thierra: Whose Money is it Really?
A Berwick take on the State of the Union address.
"I went to bed pretty sure I had heard one thing. But the following morning, as I read the news, many other news outlets had heard something quite different. Maybe I need to get my ears cleaned.
MyRA seems to be the flagship program of 2014 for the Obama Administration. Be forewarned, if that's the plan to compensate for "tapering" by the Federal Reserve, things will get much worse quickly for the USSA. We have been warning that the US government will look to take most of the funds in retirement accounts like 401ks and IRAs and force people into their government debt that lose value to inflation every year. The MyRA seems to be their first attempt to do this… and it probably won't stop there.
I suggest that people cash in whatever they can of their current 401ks and IRAs now and get those funds internationalized and away from the ever needy US government… even if it means taking a tax hit. And, if you can't or don't want to cash out your retirement funds now before they get fully nationalized and inflated into worthlessness then you should change your IRA into a self-directed IRA which allows you to internationalize the funds in the IRA into almost any investment on Earth.”

Adios Bernanke: Thanks for All the Counterfieting
A TDV goodbye to the Head Villain of the Fed.
“People are left with the notion that Bernanke is an Ivy League academic who had little to do with the economic policy leading into the financial crisis. The truth is he had been active in Washington since 2002, when he was elected to be a Fed governor due to his radically insane Marxist/Keynesian delusions. He worked with Alan Greenspan until George W Bush appointed him as head of Bush's Council of Academic Advisors in 2005. Then he took over as Fed chairman in 2006.”

The Sniper Bowl and Smoking for Health: The Weekend Vigilante February 1, 2014
Hate of football, smokin’ and drinkin’, and more Jeff Berwick’s weekly address to TDVers…
Apparently these bad guys could potentially attack the game with every weapon under the sun up to and including nuclear bombs and chemical attacks. But, the question is, what did the NFL do to them that they hate them so much?
I realize ticket prices are ludicrously high and there are a thousand commercials and time-outs throughout the game… but that shouldn't be enough reason to want to blow up an entire stadium.
Are these people baseball fans or hockey fans that just despise other sports to the point of wanting to poison or bomb anyone that watches it?

In the brilliant Weekend Vigilante from February 1, our chief-editor Jeff Berwick questioned why so much security is needed at the Super Bowl. Well, as head researcher at Dollar Vigilante, I took this question to heart, and began a quest for an answer. It did not take long for me to stumble upon the truth. Apparently, Seattle Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll is a bit of a 9/11 truther.
Rumor has it Carroll questioned a retired four star Army general so thoroughly over the legitimacy of the official 9/11 story, the general left the room.
"In particular, Carroll wanted to know whether the attack on the Pentagon had really happened. Chiarelli – who was the top-ranking Army official inside the Pentagon when American Airlines Flight 77 flew into the western side- said that it had. Carroll didn't stop there. He then 'ran through the whole 9/11 truther litany.'"
I imagine, since the DHS has a large presence at this year' Super Bowl, many of the agents onhand have read the DHS report Hot Spots of Terrorism and Other Crimes in the United States, 1970-2008. In it, US citizens "suspicious of centralized federal authority" and "reverent of individual liberty" are characterized as "extreme right-wing" terrorists."
Just imagine if the average American were exposed to real 9/11 questions during, say, a halftime or post-game Carroll interview. Would the entire facade about America "land of the free home of the brave" breakdown? The establishment can't risk that… Hence the snipers, Jeff.
It is not only Carroll who poses a risk. Red Hot Chili Peppers was Bruno Mars' backing band. "Space may be the final frontier but it's made in a Hollywood basement….born and raised by those who praise control of population," go some of the lyrics on their single "Californication."
Who knows how many else at Super Bowl XLVIII could be truthers in their own right?
