Hello from Acapulco Bay,
Does it feel like things are moving very fast? I don't mean outside your front door, but in the grand scheme of things on this space rock. I sense that things have gone into warp drive.
Something seems to be afoot. Perhaps I feel something like the birds and dogs who seem to sense an earthquake coming. Do you ever spend an entire day and everyone seems negative? And other days, everyone seems to be in a great mood. Is it you or is it them?
I still haven't figured that one out.
But what I have figured out is there is more than what we can just touch and feel. I just call it "energy" for lack of a better word.
Both personally and on a global level I am sensing something is coming to a culmination.
The people with good energy seem to be gravitating much closer now. My good friends are reappearing and countless others approach me with clear, wide-open eyes and tell me that I am speaking the truth. Those with what I perceive as bad energy are attacking me at an unprecedented rate.
And, more than that, I sense that there is a massive paradigm shift in progression that is further muddying the waters.
OK, I've been quite vague until now so let's get down to some specifics. I'm starting to feel like a significant part of the world's population is separating from the rest. Have you ever watched videos of World War II in color (like this one)? When it is in black and white it feels like some strange artifact. When it has been colorized, it brings it into something that today's generations can feel more as reality.
What in the fuck?? What are these people? Marching and jumping out of planes and blowing each other up??
That was just 70 years ago! Not a long time really!
Older veterans and those that know them will get very angry here and tell me that I am so lucky they all did that or I'd be speaking German right now. Well, my wife and my son speak fluent German and I was just in Germany this past winter and most people I interacted with there seem very nice. Not to mention that the German and English language are almost identical once you can hear ze different accent and style.
More to the point, however: how did millions of people get drawn into an all-out slaughterfest and somewhere between 50-75 million people dead in just a few years??
That seems insane in today's world. This is my point. Humanity is progressing. Today, things have changed. The Internet has awoken millions… and soon billions. I heard from a distant friend that right after the Boston marathon bombings that his 10-year-old daughter walked past the TV and just mutterred, without hesitation, "probably a false flag". I still haven't fully commented on it, but as usual the official story is full of so many holes it can't possibly be totally true.
But humans are changing so quickly that there are some who are definitely still living in the past and many who are living in the now. It is starting to make things uncomfortable!
Take for example something occurring in my current vicinity. I haven't had any direct exposure to it other than some bad traffic jams in Acapulco in the last month – easily sidestepped by my scooter – as the public school teachers violently block the road, but some people still living in the violent, statist, collectivist past are clinging to to it steadfastly.
You won't believe this. Heck, I couldn't believe it when I heard it, but then again in Mexico the public school teacher's union is a fasco-communist plague upon humanity. If you can believe it, the union is so powerful (read: violent) and entrenched that they can basically do whatever they want. What does it take to be a collectivist public school indoctrinator in Mexico? About $10,000. No training, no credentials, no background checks. If you walk up with $10,000, you are now a school teacher!
It is insanity… yet so typical for anything collectivized. And, when the teacher retires from their years of brainwashing small people what do they do? They sell their "license" to the next person with $10k. That money is then split between the retiring indoctrinator and the teachers' union!
While I instinctively despise all governments I do have to give some small back-patting to the new-old government. They are actually saying enough is enough with them.

What a role model to the children! Wouldn't you love to have him guiding your children in life?
These people are anachronistic artificacts from the past, but they still live around the rest of us who have progressed on to a better world of peaceful, voluntary transactions (aka. true capitalism – not the corporatism or fascism in the USSA today).
In fact, I just returned from a brief sojourn at my children's private school… the best private school in Acapulco ($300/month). My wife and I torment ourselves over having them in school at all but they just absolutely love it. And, I can see why. It was some sort of "fiesta night" including a wide array of food and even a kiddie-nightclub where they can dance. They even had a parents beer-tent. All the teachers were smiling and so happy. All the kids seem so happy. This is what happens when schools are un-collectivized. All the right incentives are in place to make sure that they do the absolute best job. If they don't, people move schools and they are out of a job. In private enterprise that means improving yourself. In public enterprise that means burning shit down.
This is where I see a lot of the stress in today's world is coming from. Things are changing so fast now that people from completely different worlds are co-existing. This Mexican "school teacher" is not much different than any of those people in the World War II archives. They still live in a world best defined by violence, force and theft while many of us have shed that skin like a snake and have moved on to a plentiful and peaceful world of voluntary transactions and the idea that creating wealth is good.
The sad part is that many people have been so brainwashed by the media and indoctrination camps that they will look at that picture of that violent individual above and call him an anarchist.
Do you see how they try to redefine words to control us?
BITCOIN
I've had similar reactions to my recent attraction to bitcoin. I've had many incredibly savvy individuals and some of the richest people on Earth get angry with me over my bitcoin attraction.
I lay it down to the pace of change. Things are happening so fast now that hardly anyone can keep up. Heck, my own children approach me with the iPad and ask me to do something on it and I peer at it like my father peered at my Intellivison in 1979. Who can possibly keep up with all the rapid changes enabled by the internet?
No one can. But, and not to sound bragadocious, we have an incredibly astute team of younger great minds here at TDV who constantly impress and amaze me with their understanding of all kinds of facets of things that I hadn't even thought about.
I was around and heavily invested in the internet in 1994 and have since made and lost hundreds of millions of dollars in the process. The making part was a function of my understanding of the changes going on and most of the losses were due to the fact that I didn't come across Austrian economics until after the tech bubble crash… something I have since heartedly repaired!
Bitcoin today incessantly reminds me of the Internet in 1994. "What is the Internet?" many asked me back then. And if they knew what it was they looked upon it very warily. "But, if I get my company on the Internet and one of my employees loses their computer, it'll be a major risk," they said. Of course, private enterprise came up with thousands of solutions to repair and guard against any issue. So today any individual or organization who isn't on the Internet is looked upon like someone who keeps change for the payphone in order to return the pages he gets on his beeper.
That's where Bitcoin is today. Will it succeed? I have no idea. Just like I had no idea if the internet would succeed in 1994… but Bitcoin definitely could and probably will for all the right reasons.
The barbs thrown at Bitcoin today remind of the tenets of how truth becomes to be known:
1. First they ignore you
2. Then they ridicule you
3. Then they fight you
4. Then you win
Bitcoin is at stage three right now. In the old days (the 1990s) that process would have taken years if not decades. With Bitcoin, founded in late 2008, it has already gone through the stages in a matter of a couple years.
Everyone ignored Bitcoin from 2008-2011. Then many ridiculed it. Now, many people are attacking it. That's how you know we are on to something.
The Internet was an evolution/revolution in communications. Bitcoin has the potential to be an evolution/revolution in banking. Will it succeed? I have no idea. Does it have a good chance? Definitely. Will governments and central banks attack it at every chance? Unquestionably. The Canadian Extortion Corporation just deemed any transactions in bitcoin to be taxable. Government is usually quite slow on catching on to new technologies (they took decades before now taxing Internet transactions in the US).
But when it comes to money they are very quick. And I fully expect that. In fact, we already have a team of lawyers figuring out how to comply with the myriad of money laws down to banking laws and even telecommunications laws. As an anarchist I bristle even having to "comply" with the edicts of violent, coercive gangsters. But we'll do whatever we have to in order to push Bitcoin into the mainstream.
And, if the USSA government attempts to block anything to do with Bitcoin, they will devolve further into a Third World cesspool and will soon be on par with North Korea. In either case, we win.
They don't understand the end game and I won't state it here. They'll figure it out when it is too late.

I'll likely just spend a few days in San Diego and then make a run for the border. I feel much safer outside of the empire and I like San Diego because I know I can swim to Mexico if things get bad enough.
