RUMMY AND THE FDA
Speaking about defense and technology…..
Do you guys know about Donald Rumsfeld's connection to the approval of aspartame and the FDA?
Recently I read a similar historical account of the connection between water fluoridation and Alcoa, which was controlled at the time by the Mellon family. They put the people in place to approve municipal fluoridation as a means to economically dispose of the aluminum production byproduct.

Unfortunately I am all too familiar with much of Rummy's past and how he has been instrumental in countless affairs where millions were killed… not least of which was 9/11 and the subsequent events. .jpg)
It is, actually, quite amazing how such a small group of people like, off the top of my head, Henry Kissinger, David Rockefeller, Dick Cheney and a few others have wrought such death and destruction… and they never seem to die either, which is disheartening… despite the fact that most of them look like they died long ago.
Of course, inside, they have all been dead for a long time, but their zombie corpses keep walking this planet. I often ask myself, why do these people want to kill so many people. I'd like to write an open letter to them and just ask them, why do they continue to try to destroy humanity?
I think the religious zealots who believe in demons may be on to something here. Based on their actions, these people seem to be completely possessed by some unadulterated, supernatural evil. However, it is my belief that they are not in fact possessed by the devil but have serious emotional issues that likely stem from their early childhood that fill them full of hate and fear.
Sad to think that because Donald Rumsfeld's dad probably beat him around Rummy ended up destroying millions of lives. Just goes to show how the actions of a few or even one person can change the course of history dramatically. The positive note is that now that humanity is starting to awaken that even just one person reading this and armed with rationality and love can change it back.
And there are billions of us and just a few of them.
GOERING, GOERING, GONE
Came across this Goering quote this week, thought you guys might have some thoughts as to how it may apply to the current climate.
"Naturally, the common people don’t want war, but after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.”

Sadly for most of humanity's history and especially in the last hundred years, what Goering said has been totally true. But, he's never heard of the internet!
I don't believe in organized religions, but I am a deeply spiritual and a live spirit who is constantly searching for truth… and so when the internet finally was created by Al Gore – ahem – I was ecstatic. I had been waiting my whole life for the internet to come to fruition and I believed it would allow humanity to get beyond all the propaganda that governments/collectives always use and I think I have been proven mostly correct.
Syria has been the most obvious example of this in recent days. The only people, it seems, who really wanted to bomb innocent civilians were the prince of peace himself, Barack Obombya, and Skull N' Bones gangmember, John Kerry. Almost the entire rest of the world just said no. And the bloodthirsty minority were completely neutralized. They need support and consent, no matter how gotten, to carry out their murderous desires. When that is rescinded they almost turn into ash before your eyes. I didn't watch Obama's address over US mainstream media because it nauseates me to even look at him, but from what I hear he wandered out to his teleprompters and just babbled incoherently and then all but snaked back into his hole, defeated.
We are seeing that awakening happen all over now. In the old days a lot of these heinous criminals would retire from government and then meld back into society… often receiving large speaking fees. Now, today, a murderer like Janet Napolitano plans to exit Homeland InSecurity and quietly become the President of the University of California (UC). No more! The student's government of the UC are rallying and considering a "no confidence" vote to keep that vile wretch out.
The UAW Local 2865, a UC student workers union, has called for a retraction of Napolitano’s appointment.
"We call for a president devoted to rebuilding our capacity for teaching, research, and learning — not a specialist in cyber surveillance, law enforcement, and border security,” the union’s press release states.
Or, look at ex-CIA director and criminal David Petraeus. He was thinking he'd skulk off into society and be accepted as a hero or celebrity and wanted to teach classes at the City University of New York. Not so fast! Humanity is awakening!
A number of students follow him wherever he goes and shout that he is a war criminal! Even stating, in the following video, "Every class, David"… meaning they will go to every class he "teaches" and do the same.
Thanks to the internet the world is awakening! Ben Bernanke likely expects to do the same when he egresses from the Federal Reserve and we wouldn't doubt it if he is met by the same reception.
Things change, baby. And, this time it is for the good.
CAMBODIAN VISAS
Hey TDV,
Understood on the regular visa 30 days renewable once for 60 days total. I have heard though, that it is quite easy to 'stay in Cambodia' much longer though I do not recall by what mechanism these longer stays were enabled. I read McLaurin's Cambodia write-up in the premium TDV issue about a year back (Jan 2012). He mentions the multiple-entry business visas, 12 month with annual renewal. This might be a reasonable prospect for many of us. Would you kindly pass us your thoughts on how difficult this would be to obtain? I have a small / boutique investment firm starting-up in HK. Any chance of parlaying that into the one-year? Any local businesses 'assisting' with multiple entry visa?

I am going to allow the manager of TDV Passports, Chris Martin, to reply on all the real legalities, but I just want to chime in here on the free market (they call it the "black" market) side of things.
There are very few countries on Earth where they really, truly care if you "overstay" your "permission" to stay. In Mexico, as example, most tourists get a 180-day visa. However, it is incredibly easy to avoid this. For one, in five years in Acapulco, I've never been asked once by a police person to show my passport. In fact, I've only been pulled over once (and I never stop for red lights or stop signs) in that time and I mostly just told them to get lost and they did. Because of my travel schedule I am never in Mexico for six months in a row but if I were, I know of countless incredibly easy ways to bypass the red tape. Least of which is just flying to Tijuana and walking across the border into the US and then walking right back in… they don't check passports from the Mexican side when leaving through Tijuana. In fact, they don't even check passports when you walk across the border into Mexico. It's still mostly the land of the free down here.
And, having been to Cambodia numerous times I know it is very similar there. No one cares… there is no large government and certainly no ICE squads busting into places of business checking for work visas. That only happens in the "land of the free", the US.
That said, I do understand that many people do want to play by the rules and obstacles put in their way. For that, here is Chris Martin of TDV Passports…

Yes, the E1 (ordinary) visa in Cambodia, which is the equivelant of a "business visa", is very easy to get. Both Col and I can assist you on that if you'd like. We both represent TDV here in Phnom Penh.
Please keep in mind, however, that actually residing in Cambodia full-time, even just on a "business visa", can expose you to potential local taxes depending on what business venture(s) you are involved with domestically.
The Cambodian government doesn't collect tax on foreign income, only on domestically-sourced income. And while Cambodian tax collection is so lax it borders on non-existent, it just depends on how large your business operations are domestically…if they're large enough, they (the tax man) will come knocking on your door, even if you're just on a business visa.
THE VENUS PROJECT
Have you done any research on the venus project, and what are your thoughts on it?

Upon first hearing about the Venus Project I said to myself, "Well, that just sounds like your typical technocratic fasco-socialist communist planned society." Then I found a video of an interview with Project founder, Jacque Fresco, in which he spoke glowingly of how the Great Depression resulted in everyone from soap box preachers to university professors talking about "technocracy, socialism…communism."
So there you have it in a nutshell. For further clarity on the very simple nature of the Venus Project, just look at this quote from their very brief Wikipedia entry:
"The term 'resource-based economy' is used by the Venus Project to describe a hypothetical economic system in which, goods, services and information are free. Fresco's system is based on the idea that the earth is abundant with plentiful resources but that our current practice of what he calls 'rationing' resources through monetary methods or a price system method is irrelevant and counter productive to our survival."
We're all for stuff being free or near free…because that's what uncoerced market processes do: advance technology and bring a higher quality of life while constantly lowering prices…
…But the notion that this can be accomplished by anything but a price system is the insane fantasy of coercion-loving, market-hating collectivists, a fantasy that is still rattling around in a far too many skulls.
You know it's a shabby collectivist con when someone tells you part of the problem is "corporate greed" and that the solution to the world's ills involve eliminating money and the pricing system. "Greed" is a subjective pejorative that means someone wants to use a state gun to tell people how much they can have instead of letting the free market pricing system communicate message of supply and demand and rationally allocate resources.
In short, these people want to get rid of prices and plan how everyone will use resources. They're dictatorial technocratic collectivists. Occupy Wall Street with cool-looking futuristic buildings to attract attention. But their politics and economics are shabby and worn. Nothing new there and certainly not anything smart (but at least they're not Keynesians!). The irony is that getting rid of free market prices and instituting state controls is the surest way to bring progress to a halt and then make standards of living start to regress.
