Hello from rainy and chilly Acapulco,
It rarely rains here and even less often is it ever cold, but the last two days have been rainy and relatively chilly. A large tropical storm system is making its way northward and whipping up some chilly weather. Most of the people walking down the streets are wearing jackets and the city is abuzz about the weather with many calling their family members to make sure they are okay.
The temperature? Only a high of 79F/26C in the day and dropping to a bone chilling 74F/23C at night. I didn't even use my air conditioner last night, that's how cold it is!
I come from Northern Canada with family in the Yukon and they'd likely laugh heartily at the above. My father, as point of fact, was in the Yukon when the coldest ever recorded temperature occurred. It was in perfectly named Snag, Yukon on February 3rd, 1947 when a low of -81F/-63C was recoreded (not including windchill!). He said that the next day was -22F/-30C and everyone wore tshirts and drove around town with their car windows rolled down!
Just goes to show the weather extremes that humans can adapt to!
And humans are indeed incredibly adaptable. They manage to somehow get by no matter what happens. Just look at this video showing the political map of Europe from 1000 AD to present.

Take particular note of the war orgy that began precisely after the Federal Reserve was founded in 1913. As Ron Paul said, it is no coincidence that the century of total war coincided with the century of central banking.
It has been estimated that 160 million people died in war in the 20th century. Completely aside from war (which is an inevitable toxic spinoff of collectivism and nation-states) was that it has been estimated that 262 million people died in the 20th century alone through democide. Democide is a term revived and redefined by the political scientist R. J. Rummel as "the murder of any person or people by a government, including genocide, politicide and mass murder."
Combined that is 422 million people killed in the last century alone through collectivism, nation-states, central banking and the wars they enable. Nearly half a billion people! And some have the gall to say that anarchism (getting rid of the nation-state and the central banks enabled by it) is dangerous!
Here is a map of the world the way I see it. The more that other people see it this way the greater future humanity has.
Of course, all the lines drawn on maps are artificial and a wholly manmade idea. Here is a time-lapse photo of the real world for the last 1,000 years. Notice it doesn't change.
It's quite beautiful, isn't it, until humans and their insane collectivist ideas begin drawing political lines all over it.
LIFE IN THE USSA
Of course, one of the most egregious, oppressive police states on Earth at the moment is the USSA. The US has simply jumped the shark in the last few decades.
The police state seems to be ramping up at a tremendous pace. It's not just happening in the US, either, a lot of the heinous violent crimes I've seen lately are from the USA's freezer, Kanada.
I hate to keep bringing them up, but I am just so constantly shocked at what is going on that I feel a need to mention it.

A man driving down the road discovered a baby deer that had been hit by a vehicle; immobilized yet showing no visible wounds. As he and his family attempted to assist it, they were stopped by a police officer, who not only adamantly refused to allow them to take it to a veterinarian, but threatened them with arrest, shot the fawn, and impounded their vehicle.
The general account is that the family wanted to tend to the deer who did not appear to be in significant discomfort but the cop insisted on immediately executing the deer.

Now, again, we don't know the full story (we never do) but it certainly seems to indicate a major, violent rush to judgement over a more peaceable and happy solution. And to then go after the family because they had a one-day old expired permission to drive a car is par for the course.
In Merced, California, right now, locals are questioning a policy where Merced Police officers take injured animals out to the police shooting range to kill them.
The whole issue of injured animals is a tough, emotional one, obviously… but having gun-toting, violent police deal with the issue is not the way it should be dealt with. In a world where the government and police did not hold a monopoly on force there is absolutely no way that a private security or animal control agency would deal with things in this manner… and then go after innocent people who just were trying to help.
But, until more people understand this concept we will have to continue to see hundreds of millions killed and countless humans, dogs and other animals shot.
The good news is that understanding of free market concepts is growing exponentially. When people like Glenn Beck (neo-con) and Bill Maher (progressive/liberal) call themselves libertarians because it is the cool thing to be, we are getting somewhere.
It's even got to the point where a progressive like the Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, claims that congress is full of anarchists! He's referring to tea party style consitutionalists and minarchists, of course. But when you are a Marxist, tea partiers look like anarchists.
Congress doesn't have an anarchist in the bunch… no anarchist would ever participate in their dying system of centralized aggression and violence (aka politics). But the pure fact that the rise of libertarians and anarchists has gotten to this level of public knowledge shows the advances of the anarchist philosophy.
Soon young people will look back at the 20th and early 21st century as the world's bloodiest, most barabaric period and wonder how people allowed it all to occur. I dream of that day. They will talk about the US the way people today talk about East Germany.
In the meantime, stay safe, internationalize yourself and just plain get your ass and assets outside of the US and Western world. Trust me, this collapse is going to be messy.
