Hello from beautiful Cafayate,
I've spent the last week enjoying all that Cafayate has to offer, including amazing wine, cigars, golf, asados and parties with the likes of Doug Casey, Bill Bonner and dozens of other interesting and freedom-minded people. It truly is one of the coolest places on Earth down here at Doug's Gulch.
But perhaps the most interesting thing has been the people who have brought their non-free thinking relatives from places like the US and seeing how they react to their first experiences with freedom. In many ways they are like these laboratory-bound beagles who were videotaped seeing sunlight and walking on solid ground for the first time in their lives (warning: this video will make you cry):

One dollar vigilante brought his father down from the US for his first steps of freedom. He looked almost as bewildered and confused as the beagles.
We were golfing and drinking some beers when he turned down his third beer stating, “I don't want to get pulled over and get a DUI”. We all laughed and laughed while he stood there confused. I explained, you rarely ever see any police in this area and if you do they certainly would never “pull you over”. In fact, on the one and only time I saw a police woman on the street I instinctively did what I do whenever I am in the “western world” and told her to “get out of here, you criminal.”
She was about 50 and tiny and she was shocked at what I said and hung her head down and began to walk away. Immediately I recognized my grievous error in judgement and I immediately apologized. She asked me, “Why'd you say that to me?”
I apologized profusely again and told her that I come from a place where the police are the criminals and I just said it out of habit. She told me, “I'm just here to help.”
I again apologized, now feeling even more terrible and told her to please forget what I said and I invited her to come back to where she was and offered to buy her a drink. She turned down the drink but felt better. This is what the police in this part of Salta are like. They are rarely seen and when they are they are mostly just there to be of help to anyone who needs anything. There is no such thing as a ticket or fine here as far as I could tell.
Getting back to the temporarily freed man from the United Slaves of America he continued to be in shock at nearly everything here. When later in the day we bought some coca leaves from a street vendor to chew as most Saltenos do for digestion after a meal and another person ordered a “coca tea” at the restaurant he clutched his chair and immediately darted his head around waiting for the customary SWAT team descent upon us. When nothing at all happened and the peaceful and happy crowd in the square went on about their business completely unchanged you could see his brain start to melt in his head. His world had just been shaken.
Perhaps there was a much better more peaceful way to live than what he had been told! Perhaps all the no-knock raids, the millions in prison camps and the billions wasted terrorizing peaceful people enjoying millennia old plants was not necessary… perhaps!

It is similar where I live in Southern Mexico and so I laughed (and cried) when I saw the following.

This is where the western world has come to. Meanwhile, where I live in Acapulco, Fidel is the lifeguard at the AcaCondos building. He spends much of the day taking a siesta or pumping iron in the gym… and on his day-off on Wednesdays no other lifeguard is supplied. I've had a few Americans comment on this stating how terrible it is.
“Has no one ever drowned here because of this?” they ask. “Is there no government regulations for this?” they cry.
I tell them that in my four years of living there I have seen two people have problems. Both times they had gone out a little too far and there is a bit of a backtow and they were obviously struggling. In both instances Fidel was no where to be found and a cry goes out amongst all the other beach and pool goers and within seconds every capable male older than 14 runs and dives into the water. Sometimes more than 5 or 10… all without even thinking. Within moments they work together to bring the swimmer into shore. While it's never been necessary I've seen other similar instances where someone needed emergency medical help. In Mexico it is only a matter of seconds before they are put in someone's car and rushed off to the hospital.
In which society would you rather live, Mexico or the UK? My choice speaks for itself. And it is much the same in Argentina where people help each other instead of spending millions in tax dollars stolen at gunpoint to create a giant bureaucracy of uselessness.
THE FEDERAL RESERVE BEGINS TO PANIC
Meanwhile, the central banks that have helped create the horrid bureaucracies in the west continue to be under attack and are trying all sorts of ways to defend themselves.
The Federal Reserve announced last September that they would begin monitoring billions of conversations on social media, showing that they are becoming more aware of the damage being done to all their propaganda efforts via social media.
Having read millions of posts and comments decrying the criminality of the Federal Reserve they launched their own Twitter feed in order to combat the negative comments. Well, that hasn't worked out too well for them either as can be seen by this random search of their feed:
Now you can understand why the US Government is scrambling to shut down the internet in any way possible!
Realizing they better start brainwashing kids at an early age, the Federal Reserve has now announced that they will now directly appeal to K 8-12 kids in government indoctrination camps with a new propaganda campaign called “The High School Fed Challenge“.
For decades, before the advent of the internet, the Federal Reserve could get away with just keeping people in the dark about their criminal enterprise. But now, thanks to the internet, people are becoming more and more aware of the banking cartel that has been impoverishing them for the last 99 years and they now feel they need to indoctrinate kids early before they realize that central banks are a prime tenet of communism and play no other role other than to create the hidden tax of inflation and to skew price signals so as to destroy economies so that full-scale communism can then be implemented.
We think it's too little too late. This cat is already out of the bag… and that bulging vein in the Bernank's forehead and his quivering voice shows he knows the jig is up too.
BACK TO THE VINEYARDS
And with that I'll head back to the vineyards and continue on enjoying the life down here in 90F and sunny Cafayate. After all, those bottles of world-class Torrontes wine aren't just going to drink themselves!
