Impromptu Corruption of Chilean Youth with Anarchism
I've spent the last couple of weeks with a Chilean family in their home in the tiny seaside town of Concón, Chile. The adult daughter happens to be fluent in English (with an adorable Chilean accent) and teaches English to advnanced students at a school just a few minutes walk away from the house. She also has an enormous appreciation for men with significant amounts of Subsaharan African ancestry so it was natural that we quickly became fast friends.
She urged me to come speak to her students. She thought it would be good for them to hear a native English speaker. Chile is geographically and culturally isolated and there just aren't that many people here who aren't Chileans wth a Chilean look and who speak anything besides Chilean Spanish. I'd seen a few black people, but I was told they're almost always Spanish-speaking Colombians of African descent. I'd also heard American English outside of my GGC-related sphere exactly once from a pair of white guys who passed me on the street. So my American English-spewing black face would be a double whammy of rarity for these kids.
My friend had of course gotten an earful of anarchist philosophy in the few weeks she'd known me and I'm happy to report that she was in complete agreement with everything I said. I was also thrilled when she insisted that I talk about my philosophy and my work when I spoke to her class! She said I should start with the usual kind of stuff: an introduction, a brief history of where I was born and where I was raised. Then when I went into what I did for a living, I could go ahead and give them a full frontal shot of my naked anarcho-capitalism. I just coudn't imagine that happening in the US: being able to get in front of a classroom and call the government out for the fundamentally immoral, collective thugism that it is.
And the kids ate it up! They seemed to get it immediately. I suspect that they also thought I was an American rap star, but that's okay. And the kids' inocuous questions (such as, "Who's your favorite actor?") gave me a chance to keep reinforcing voluntaryist themes ("Actors are almost to a one a bunch of state-worshiping leftists whose worship of aggressive violence makes me sick."). Try doing that in the States without getting tackled by local police officers, tasered and kidnaped!
I'm happy to report that the kids loved my visit and want me to come back. It's just one classroom with a dozen teenagers…but it's also a chance to cast a few seeds of philosophy and liberty in the fertile soil of receptive, young minds. It's extremely satisfying to create new vectors for this "disease" of peace wherever I happen to be.

In fact the US government like some eternal zombie continues to walk the Earth even without the souls of taxpayers upon which to feast. And, even that isn't totally true. Like any zombie it still collects the blood of its victims (taxes) even while most of its zombie army (federal government employees) sit at home on a paid vacation… and most of their oppressive "services" continue on, like the CIA, NSA, ATF, DEA, Executive branch, police and more.
But just for our pleasure, let's imagine that all government in the US really shut down… which it will in the coming years as the US dollar collapses.”

Government Shutdown Proves Roads Not Possible Without Government

"It is often irritating for those of us who don't believe we need violent institutions (ie. government) to keep hearing the same refrain from non-believers over and over again, "But, what about my roads?"
We always reply, exasperated, that pavement is not impossible to have without theft and the fact that roads existed without government even in the US (as Walter Block wrote in "The Privatization of Roads And Highways"). “While state worshippers fret over the meaningless "shutdown" of the federal government, the supposedly inactive government violently shut down a very important and highly publicized free marketplace. National parks were closed for show, but the domestic terrorism continued from the offices of the FBI which seized the Silk Road website and arrested its alleged operator, the "Dread Pirate Roberts", Ross William Ulbricht yesterday morning.”
