FLEEING WITH FAMILY
I'm a Mom who refuses to stick her head in the sand. Last year I demanded that our family go on an "investigation vacation". We packed our bags and took our two teens to Ecuador for 16 days. During that time we met a man who gave us a copy of "confessions of an economic hitman" – the eye-opening irony of being in the very country the storyline/true events were based and seeing in real time, the aftermath of economic slavery unfolding was surreal at best.
I feel my blood pressure is escalating almost as quickly as the chaos but must say that (from a mother’s perspective) as much as I dream of making that vacation permanent…my kids (not supportive of becoming expats) and the family we leave behind holds me here. I feel torn in two and in many ways a captive to expected responsibilities/pressure we all identify with. It's not a matter of should "I" go. You may have children but considering the "family" situation…what would you say to us?

I'm kidding, of course. Certainly, I feel there is sometimes space for authority in our lives. A mother might not let her child, for example, cross the street at the wrong place and/or time. The child might want to, but by disallowing this, you could save the child from being hit by oncoming traffic. The child might not understand what happens if the car hit him or her. Similarly, your kids might not wish to leave the USSA because they don't fully know the consequences of staying. What they don't realize fully is that their entire lives are being tracked and they've never a moment alone. At any moment, their freedom could be stripped from them…and a case could be fabricated.
Free thinkers have many important decisions to make in this day-and-age, and they are not all going to be easy decisions.
People came to "America" (read: Amerika) from Britain for similar reasons people today are leaving the US. Imagine leaving the tyranny of Britain: you had to get on a boat, and travel for months and months in the middle of a mysterious ocean. You probably thought the world was flat, and maybe you wondered one lonesome night if you would just drop right off.
When you arrived in the New World, you had no idea where you were. Also, you were not going to see your family for many years. That probably became clearer over time. But, there was a promise of a better life.
That that better life lies outside the US is clearer than ever before. It is important for you to instill in your kids the travel bug, and open them up to new cultures. Are they learning second languages? That will be important in the USSA as there are now more immigrants in the US than ever. (but I predict this has plateaued)
I think by imparting the urge to be free onto your kids will have done them a big favor. Don't force it upon them! Instead, nurture the spirit. Who knows – maybe one day they'll come to you, begging to leave the USSA.

BELIZE?
What are the best areas in the world to consider moving to? I keep hearing about Belize on TV, as they speak English and the costs are low.

I've spent time in Belize and there are obviously big opportunities there, and lots of reasons to live there, too. That's why TDV is there and looking for ways to help that economy, as well as pocketbooks of Vigilantes looking for yet another southern arbitrage to protect against the collapsing industrialized west. We've found that Belize is one of the cheapest and quickest ways to setup an International Business Corporation. We, along with James Guzman (who heads our IBC department), have located where the best place to receive a Belize IBC is, and that place is St. Vincent. We are actually offering a Belize IBC and a St. Vincent bank account for all nationalities. You can learn more here.
Ultimately, it is up to the individual to decide where he or she belongs. There are literally hundreds of countries on this planet, and most of them are freer than the US, Britain and Europe. Learning the ways of a Permanent Traveler lifestyle is key to survival during TEOTMSAWKI. You'll need to be setup comfortably in many countries all at once. So, while heading to Belize is a good idea, don't discount the value of other countries, even if it means you must learn another language.
NSA AND BANKING
Certainly every one of us should verify that our own accounting of our transactions matches our bank's accounting. I wouldn't put anything past the NSA, but I'm trying to grasp just what kind of shenanigans wouldn't be caught immediately by, say, at least 10% of individuals targeted. Have such individuals come forward? If not, I'm skeptical, not that the NSA is an evil bunch of criminals (which is without question), but that this kind of manipulation is actually happening.

I'm far from convinced myself…but the fact that the investigative committee would come up with that very specific prohibition is odd. It is like a mother telling her child, "do not kill the cat with a baseball bat or swallow the goldfish!" You start wondering where the admonition came from. I think it is far more likely that the NSA has the ability to do so and perhaps the theoretical plan to do so in case of seizing the assets of a terrorist suspect, a money laundering suspect…someone who hasn't paid their IRS backlog. There are not many aspects of news items that jump out at me. This prohibition was one of them. I was interested to note that it jumped out at Glenn Greenwald as well.

NYE PARTY VS. BERWICK
Jeff, are you surprised that RT has canceled your involvement in New Years Eve Show after you publicly stated that you "always ruin the party" because you "just really don't like going out and celebrating on New Year's Eve"?

Considering the lineup of astute thinkers at Russia Today (many of whom are beautiful women), I would have placed a bet that this New Years' Eve could have been one of the best for me. At the same time, however, since it was to be in New York Shitty, it could have also been one of the worst. I can imagine all sorts of crazy scenarios. I could have ended up having a fantastic night drinking and partying with likeminded anarchists. Or I could have ended up behind prison bars. One thing is for sure – I would not have attempted a daring escape from an NYC prison, like I've done elsewhere.
Come to think of it, there's another thing that's for sure. There are many places on this planet I could have been, partying with anarchists, without a worry of being thrown in jail. I am more concerned about being struck by falling space debris in most places of the world than I am of being thrown in jail. This is not the case in the USSA. In the USSA, I am always looking over my shoulder, hoping the police don't stop me for just a few questions. There's never any telling where that could lead in the US…
If it is true that RT canceled my appearance on NYE due to any/all comments I have made about the New Year celebration, let it be known that I am always down for a good anarcho-party. Even if it falls on "amateur night."
