The TDV team have taken a semi-respite. In free-market terms, that means that we have taken a day or two off (and for TDV subscribers, we are going to take one of our two weeks per year off from our subscription letter).
In real terms, though, it means we won't stop pushing good ideas forward every day publicly… we can't help ourselves.

It takes about ten minutes to really get going and if you are short on time fast forward to 30 minutes… but he soulfully speaks on the evils of the state to the point of nearly coming to tears near the end. If you have the time, watch the entire presentation. If you don't, let me state that he essentially talks about what we have been talking about here for years.
It is a very good watch.
And, in another interview, Robert Higgs also stated the following:
"My wife and I have several motives for emigrating to a remote village in Mexico. We love the Caribbean coast and the adjacent waters; we enjoy Mexicans and many aspects of Mexican culture; and we relish the idea of living in a tropical paradise amid marvelous creatures on the land and in the sea. However, we are also moving because the United States is now a police state and becomes almost daily a more dreadful and intolerable police state. Even if we supposed that we might be lucky enough to avoid the worst that this vile state inflicts on its many victims, we abhor what the country has become and look forward to distancing ourselves from it. Americans have sold their souls to the devil as politicians have manipulated their fears. Many more of them ought to have seen through this shameless and evil manipulation."
As I write this from Acapulco, Mexico, I agree with his own personal solution. Simply: leave.
I tire of telling people how the world, for the most part, is MUCH better outside of the USSA. I'll let Mr. Higgs' comments and video speak for itself.
Mexico is not perfect… nor is any other nation-state perfect… but there are much better options for preparing for the collapse of the West than staying in the West.
Not the Mexican government, nor Chilean government, nor Thai government… nor Iranian government have committed the massive terrorist actions, both within and outside their borders, of the Western governments, particularly the inconceivably brutal actions of the United States government.
You can listen to me now or wait and find out I was right as things degenerate even further. At the 50 minute mark of this video, by the way, Robert Higgs advises all young people to get out of the US.
But I'm not just telling you to listen to Robert or me. But listen to our actions. He's left to Mexico. I've left to Latin America. Doug Casey has left to the same region…. Judge Napolitano as well. Gary Gibson is en route…
I have made it my life's work to provide you with solutions. When I started The Dollar Vigilante, those solutions were mostly financial as provided in our paid newsletter.
