PRECIOUS METALS HYPOTHETICAL
Suppose I lost all my gold and silver in a boating accident, but at some time in the future I was able to retrieve it (when the price is right) — what would stop governments from confiscating it then?

Governments kill people all around the world. So, nothing will stop them from stealing items from people. But, no matter where you keep your fiat money, it will be stolen via inflation at least. The value can be taken right out of it no matter where you have it. That's why we support an alternative and highly diversified portfolio into the precious metals (namely gold and silver) and also into crypto-currencies. There are of course other ways to store gold than at the bottom of the ocean. That's why we wrote the report Get Your Gold Out Of Dodge. Knowing the way things are going in the US, by the time you were able to turn in those gold and silver pieces after finding them at the bottom of the body of water, you might be liable for some serious capital gains on the precious metals.
HONDURAS

Honduras recently announced where their first ZEDE will be and are meeting investors from around the world about investing there. Have you been following this, and if so, how excited should freedom-loving people be about these developments?

Yes, I have been following very closely and been in contact with the group heading it up on many occasions. It now looks like it will happen and I will likely be going there soon to scope for opportunities. I am extremely excited about this region and I encourage everybody to check out opportunities, especially in the lesser developed parts.
RENUNCIATION
Quick comment: one point worth making is that people contemplating renunciation should not wait for that process to be complete, or nearly so, before expatriating. The process of renunciation is arduous, but it is no more so if carried out from the comfort and safety of a foreign pied à terre. In fact, it is possible to renounce the System without giving up citizenship, as I and (I suspect) many others have done. But that is another story.

Living free comes first. Far before renouncing citizenship. For many years I have lived the Permanent Traveler lifestyle meaning that I didn't really stay put anywhere for very long and this lifestyle served me quite well. In a way, the internet was my home, and I could get a little piece of home from anywhere on the globe. I cannot begin to explain how awesome it is waking up somewhere new and smelling new things and seeing how other people live, unless I am in the US. IS STATISM DYING?
Oh, I'm so underwhelmed! They'll be looking back 100 years from now in wonder. I'm really feeling warm all over about that. My knees are getting weak too.
How naive can this writer be. Statism is dying?? Maybe so but it isn't in any hurry to go. Doesn't he know that the statists have bigger guns than we do and aren't afraid to use them?
It ain't over until the fat lady sings and she ain't singin' yet.
It doesn't look like Obama's stepping down quietly tomorrow or that the Establishment is on its last legs to me. It seems that Obama is very busy consolidating his power grab in Washington and the "best" is yet to come. The Establishment Republicans are in the same tent as he is so don't look for any help there. He's too close to consolidating his power as president to be stopped without a major power shift, either in November's elections, unlikely, or he's run out of office by a dissatisfied people alert to his intention of a lifetime tenure in office.
There won't be any changes in the U.S. unless there is a revolt at the polls in November. And even that depends on who dominates the primaries, Establishment hack Republicans or the Tea Party/Libertarian Republicans. Until then Obama has nine months to wreak more havoc in the country and to entrench himself even deeper where he is. He isn't going down easy. Marxists never do.
All that is standing in his way now is the second amendment and he has let it be known that constitutional limitations on his office do not apply. He uses the Constitution as toilet paper and smiles about it. What executive order surprise does he have in store next??

Depending on how you look at it, we've seen plenty of "revolts at the polls". (what a funny concept) For instance, in 2008 the American people voted for Barack Obama against the incumbent party, the Republicans. So, there was our revolt for "Hope" and "Change." I imagine that we will get another revolt at the next election, perhaps seeing Rand Paul have an effect on the outlook of the Republican party, and then we will get an entire new regime offering the Amerikan people something completely similar to before: slavery. This time in red instead of blue. Just the same, a wolves in wolves clothing.
The executive orders will keep on coming. It doesn't matter who the President is. What does matter is people are learning to pack their bags and leave. Amerikans are leaving the US in droves. People are learning how to use things like the internet to free themselves as much as possible. These developments scare the tax farmers. Some of their cattle has become more difficult to handle, thanks to the internet. Cultures are standardizing, but in what way? Are people actually learning how to live together? I see lots of living together in Mexico, people getting along, ignoring government. People see the same all over the world in their countries. So, perhaps in the US statism is alive-and-strong, but elsewhere in the world, this is less-and-less the case.
